Michael Bates Sr. "The Business Bishop": Bishop Bates " The Business Bishop" had an early exposure to business. At a very young age he was instrumental in negotiating contracts for the world famous and greatest gospel singer Rev. Cleophus Robinson. From there he led a career in the banking and finance industry by having his own financial consulting firm and being on the bank’s Board of Directors. His financial background allowed him to develop an inner city mini mall and community center. After which, his real estate development experience allowed him to be on the National Board of the Southern Leadership Conference where he implemented business and economic development strategies. Bishop Bates has consulted churches nationwide in their business ministry and has been a founder along, with other major Christian Businessmen ,to assist in creating a Business Ministry for congregations worldwide! Those from Kirk Franklin to Billy Graham have consulted with and used services provided by The Business Bishop.
